When words fail

A slighlty overstated title. Just a few pics to keep the old blog running:)

It was our institute's golden anniversary recently, so our campus got a major makeover, including putting up an Amul kiosk, complete with swings and garden chairs.

The already existing Nescafe too got a facelift, with a pretty red roof. Just a tiny picture, it's too blurry to be any bigger.

And I went for a seminar in Ludhiana, Christian Medical College last month. The Christian-ness of the college was always vividly palpable, the conference being started with a benediction and a choir. They had a bookshop on campus, I got a Bible as a souvenir. Overall, the college seemed to be well-run, no frantic patients etc. But I could be biased too :p Anyhow the place looked mighty clean.

At dinner, some undergrads entertained us with songs and dances. This pic was for the guy in yellow satin lungi (lungi not v visible tho).

Lastly, a pic of a humungous mutton leg. We had dinner at Karim's near Jamma Masjid. The area left a lot to desire, but the restaurant is top rated in Delhi. But Too much meat will kill you, me thinks.

Hi illusionaire, that was fast :) Yeah, you should try out the place. If you live in south delhi, it could be quite a trip, but their food is worth a try. A total nonvegeterian paradise :P

A yellow "satin" lungi eh? Sounds rich hehe. And in more ways than one :P The mutton leg looks scrumptious. And allow me to say this again, you are one good looking girl! And with all those brains as well...

Calliopia, thanks for the kind words. I'm collecting them for when I feel really lousy :) The food was good, but nothing compares to vawksa rep, period.

It's diwali and everybody's in a festive mood. The lights are strung up everywhere, and I can hear firecrackers starting. It reminds me of Christmas and New year. Lung a ti leng reuh khawp mai :p

Illusionare!! compliments are meant to be given and lapped up :) Girls compliment fellow girls, men, little kids, old grannies without hesitation; on looks, clothes, cooking, anything. It's just guys who are less verbal, a slap on the back prolly conveys everything I guess :)

Yep, and guys think it's major cool to sound like "Hey Mos, you big hairy dickhead..." and "Hey Kim, sick my duck, you peed in our fridge!!" etc etc :D

God, if this is the campus that I think it is *grin*, it surely HAS changed and has brought back alot of memories!
As for Karim's, its one of the few reasons that I miss Delhi for. I can almost smell the mutton leg here :)
And hey, the next time you go private, do send out an invit will ya? :)

Nohiddendepths teh hlawl chu:) This is probably not the campus you're thinking about. But evn that campus has had a major change, the whole of chelmsford block was demolished, they expanded the cafe and nescafe as everywhere has come to roost.
Aven, kan in ei thau nasa! Min hai mai thei ni:)
